The background for The Housing Partnership

The Housing Partnership was formed in 1999 and was established by Kvarterløft. The reason for the partnership was an increasing need of co-ordination of the work that was being carried out in Kongens Enghave in order to solve different problems concerning housing in the neighbourhood.

It was vital to discuss possibilities and limits in relation to developing Kongens Enghave towards an area with a more varied population and a more varied structure of housing. At the same time the partnership had to collect and debate information on how to develop the housing structure in Kongens Enghave and discuss how to solve the problems concerning dwellings. The Housing Partnership also makes it possible for the partners to set up strategies on a more long-term basis.
