Case Studies   The Danish Neighbourhood Regeneration Programme. Kvarterløft in Copenhagen

New methods of working together

In the very start of the project it was underlined, that everybody who was active in the neighbourhood could have a say in the working-groups. Local residents and people working in the neighbourhood set up the 15 working-groups. At the first meetings it was underlined that the citizens' participation was to be taken seriously and that the local politicians had no intentions of dominating the process. It was also pointed out that the regeneration programme aimed at holistic solutions worked out in co-operation between citizens and officials.
