Case Studies   The Danish Neighbourhood Regeneration Programme. Kvarterløft in Copenhagen

The type of residents participating in the projects

The type of residents participating in the process of the regeneration project varies from project to project. In the Kongens Enghave Project many of the participants have been elderly people living in the neighbourhood for quite a while and people who properly have a stronger connection to the neighbourhood.
In other regeneration projects the residents are very different from Kongens Enghave for example in the Nørrebro Park regeneration project the residents participating are much younger and the population is in general very different from the Kongens Enghave project.
It can therefore not be said about the regeneration projects that they apply to a specific type of residents. Al though many of the residents participating in the projects often have lived in the neighbourhood for a long time or are planning to stay in the neighbourhood in the future and therefore have the possibility to benefit from the time invested in the neighbourhood regeneration project
