Dear ENSURE
visitors,
I hope that
by now many of you got acquainted with the draft of the guidebook
we have published on ensure.org half a year ago.
We have not
left this effort to perish. The nucleus of team has organised
a network between 8 European cities: Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin,
Glasgow, Hamburg, Lisbon, Valletta and Vilnius to continue the
collaboration in the field of urban regeneration and to work on
the guidebook. This time we decided to concentrate on one of the
aspects - private and public partnerships in mixed function deprived
city centre areas. The network works under name of ENTRUST. Please
find more information about it on www.ensure.org/entrust.
So far, we have only had a starting meeting in Lisbon, there is
just very basic information there but soon there will be more
information as we proceed.
We are also
attempting to cluster a number of other European research projects
in urban regeneration, and we hope that in summer 2002 we have
some news for you. In case of success, we will be looking for
extra-European projects to include in the collaboration, so please
send us some information on what you are up to in your work.
However, the
most important source of update is going to be YOUR opinion, dear
visitor. For now, each part of the guidebook has a message board
provided, and as soon as comments start to be posted, we shall
change the interface, providing a collaboration space on this
website. We at ENSURE hope that you will join us in our endeavour
to make this Website a valuable resource of neighbourhood regeneration.
